Killingsworth Street
Killingsworth Street runs through
some of Portland’s most diverse and
exciting communities. East of I-5,
you’ll encounter the diverse “Albina
Crossing,” an international mecca of
sights, sounds and tastes surrounding
the PCC Cascade Campus. The
intersection of Killingsworth and
Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard is
anchored by Walnut Park, home to
Reflections Talking Drum Bookstore.
Continuing east, you’ll find Island
Foods, featuring a variety of fresh
meats and ethnic Caribbean fare,
and One Stop Records, a community
asset for almost 30 years. The
Fox Chase area at 30th Avenue
boasts an eclectic mix of boutiques,
restaurants and coffee shops, along
with pet and self-improvement
products and services.
Heading west of I-5, you will find “Overlook Village,” a growing community of neighborhood businesses. Come enjoy brunch at one of our eateries, find hidden treasures in one of our shops or even get healthcare for you and your pet. Owners of new and old businesses are coming together with a commitment of maintaining a friendly neighborhood feel for all. Whether you want fine dining, coffee and zeppoli, or a night out for great local beer, Willamette Valley wine or tantalizing cocktails, come play in the Village!
