Hollywood
Carrying the name of the historic
Hollywood Theatre on NE Sandy,
the Hollywood District in Northeast
Portland is a vibrant historic
Portland neighborhood. Shops,
restaurants, galleries and services
await you here. Hollywood boasts
numerous activities, including Third
Thursday, Hollywood Farmers’
Market, the Junior Rose Parade and
the annual Veterans’ Day parade.
From 6 to 9 in the evening on each third Thursday of the month from May through October, shops offer contests, free gifts and special sales, along with live music and refreshments.
The Hollywood Farmers’ Market, located on NE Hancock Street between NE 44th and 45th Avenues, is another popular venue. On each Saturday of the month from May through October, more than 50 vendors sell fresh, locally grown produce, plants and goodies from 8:00 in the morning to 1:00 in the afternoon.
The Hollywood District is easily accessible by bus or light rail. For the young and young-at-heart, it is a great place to shop, live, work and play.
